April 13-15, 2012--The annual Mullan Road Conference will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of this famed road that extends from Fort Benton to Walla Walla and passes through the Sun River Valley and over Bird Tail Divide. The conference this year in Walla Walla , WA, is coordinated by Eastern Washington University and Walla Walla and will include a field trip along a portion of the Mullan Road as well as updates on Mullan Road developments. All are welcome to join this great chance to learn, share, and have fun along this pioneer interstate highway. For more information, please contact Ken Robison or a SRVHS officer.

Thursday, April 19, 2012—ANNUAL meeting. 7:30 p.m. at the Sun River Methodist Church. Elections. If you are interested in any office with the SRVHS, please let one of the officers or a member of the Board of Directors know. Your ideas, time, and talent are needed!

Wednesday, May 2nd, and Thursday, May 3rd—The Touchstone Project is coming to the Valley! This is a FREE workshop by the Montana Preservation Alliance and will help us learn how to preserve Valley history. All are welcome. Look for more information in your local newspapers.
