For a Basic search of all available data, check index types you desire, enter a Surname
and click 'search', (or press return/enter).
Entries in more fields will reduce results.
Search is Not case sensitive and uses No accents—simply use the closest character (e.g. use e to represent é).
Searches auto-expand to include similar names, as reported in the Results.
Multiple names in an entry field returns more records—useful to collect more, all at one go, such as:
Women by their maiden name and married name(s).
Both husband and wife.
Various possibilities for a given name, or multiple spellings of a surname.
Enter the names without commas&mdash just a space will do.
Consider entering Surnames in the Given name field because:
Men often have a mother's maiden name as a given name.
Women's maiden names and previous marriage names are often there.
Foreigners often get their name order reversed in America.
Advanced Search enables exact and wildcard searching, but disables the
similar names feature.
